Most blogs even provide an option for people to leave responces and comment on your posts, helping you find out just what other people think of your point of view, if your blog is a stimulating read you might get regular readers and even acquire some new friends.

However blogs are not confined to personal usage, they can be about any topic you want, and lots of people produce blogs that follow a theme such as: politics, sports, current issues, events, news, catastrophes, etc, some bloggers even use their blogs for business reasons as a way to advertise products and services or to create revenue through advertisements.
